Walkerhill Resort is characterized by its irregular and hilly topography which allows many different and interesting viewpoints. The basis of the project relies on finding relationships between the building, unique site conditions, and the natural landscape. The building skin telegraphs the movement created by the existing topography, including it as part of the act. At the same time, the façade opens at points to provide space for the main functions of the program to cantilever over the site. Terraces, lounge areas, and infinity pools extend beyond the building envelope making strong gestures while presenting outstanding views towards the Han River. The goal of these spaces is to create ideal spaces to relax and reflect, establishing a closer link to the surrounding geography.
