On March 10, 2026, a groundbreaking ceremony was held at the site of New Gangbuk-Gu Government Office Complex, marking the official commencement of the project. On this occasion, Taeman Kim delivered a presentation on the design proposal for the new office complex, titled “Three scenes of Gangbuk.” The ceremony was attended by Soonhee Lee, Mayor of Gangbuk-gu, Myeonghee Kim, Chairperson of the Gangbuk-gu Council, and other related officials. The event included a report on the progress of the project, an introduction to the design proposal, and an outline of the demolition and construction schedule.

The New Gangbuk-Gu Government Office Complex will be developed as a mixed-use administrative facility. It will integrate major administrative institutions—including the Gangbuk-gu Office, public health center, and council—within a single complex. Completion of the project is scheduled for the end of 2028.
