On May 7, 2026, Taeman Kim was appointed as the new President of buildingSMART Korea during the association's 29th Annual General Meeting. 

buildingSMART Korea is a leading organization dedicated to advancing BIM and smart construction technologies through research, education, publications, and industry events. This year, the association plans to host BIM AWARDS 2026 and buildSMART Conference 2026, while continuing a wide range of research, publication, education, and certification initiatives.

In his inaugural address, President Kim emphasized the association's role in promoting the exchange of the latest knowledge and best practices in BIM and smart construction, while accelerating the advancement of BIM across Korea. He also reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening member services and driving innovation throughout the construction industry.​
