In 2013, GIVENCHY of LVMH, a multinational luxury group located in France, wished to open a flagship store that would apply as its prototype of its shops all around the world in order to express its inherent identity in an architectural language and decided its first store to be one in Seoul. The design concept of its exterior is taken from GIVENCHY’s top designer Riccardo Tisci’s T-cut design of his clothing and handbags as a motive. The exquisite cutting on a simple box gives continuity with GIVENCHY’s brand. Also, the metal panel surface brings a fashion brand-like texture and the exquisite lighting design gives a different feeling at daytime and nighttime. The beginning of the construction was determined by considering the colors and details that coincides with GIVENCHY’s image and is applied by examining the outer skin that differentiates from others.
